1. I am a BRITISH CITIZEN. Born during tennis season, in Wimbeldon, London. And yes, I still can speak with my accent, but I choose not to, living in the States, unless you know me behind closed doors, or you pick up on little sayings that I still drop accidentally in conversation.
2. I speak 3 languages- FRENCH, SPANISH, ENGLISH, and can read LATIN .....all that boarding school did pay off. My favorite Latin story is 'Winnie ille pu.' Soeaking of boarding school, I was very naughty and got in trouble for climbing out windows a lot, and was often up all night outside the dorm mistresses quarters in my uniform writing my latin verbs as punishment, hence why I am a latin scholar, most likely.
3. I am a hopeless mushy romantic. Love the little things, little gestures, romantic words....yes, I am a softie:)
4. I am a huge dork- love literature, poetry, great discussions and stimulating my mind.....
5. I am obsessed with UNICORNS:)
6. I love teaching and working with children..... kids always make me smile.
7. I enjoy thrills and adventure....I have a definite wild side, despite being a dork!
8. My favorite foods- Indian curry(hot!) or Peking duck (London style) or Swiss fondue-
Italian anything.....and I love cheese.......adore a good dry wine, and fabulous chocolate:)
9. I LIVE to one day just travel and see the WORLD! I would rather travel, gain experiences and make memories in life with someone I love than live my life tethered, with no chance to see this beautiful planet........ahhhh, my dream one day......I will do it, I am determined!
10. Zermatt and London are the places I LOVE to share with those who share my heart.....again, such a hopeless romantic, I know....
11. I enjoy scuba diving- even with SHARKS! I was so afraid of the ocean when I came to be about 12. Having been captain of my high school team, I realized it was because I could not 'SEE' what was in it,not due to any abilities lacking, so I took the bull by the horns and jumped 100 feet in. Now, I can see a whole other world! It is GORGEOUS! Yep, pretty crazy......
12. I love the literary writings of Tolstoy, the poetry of Keat's, and I delve into Shakespere constantly. I also have been known to pick up The Iliad, and even re-read C.S. Lewis.
13. The BEST thing in the world is being called 'MUM,' ( which he does at home), to a super fabulous little boy- I adore my 9 year old son, Aidan, with all that I am. He has my heart- and is my world. I work hard for him and absolutely love him to bits. The hardest and best job ever....
14. I am a confessed girly girl........off camera. I have a terrible clothes fetish, and am a true CLOTHES HORSE- I LOVE FASHION, ADORE SHOES, vintage and designer clothes, spend hours pairing and designing outfits, matching accessories, jewelery, following fashion styles, playing with makeup.....yeah, totally into it all- in fact my guest room is now a closet:(
15. I CAN COOK- actually pretty well......but I don't often fancy doing it..... and I actually still have not fixed my oven, after the turkey from 2 thanksgiving's ago exploded in it. It was a good excuse not to cook, right?
16. I write and compose songs throughout the week.I constantly am moved to write lyrics, and scribble song thoughts down in notebooks in my phone. I am a very deep soul. My songs are my outlet.....my voice, and my world:)
17. I love to listen and be inspired by the music from Broadway (currently I am jamming to Great Comet, Dave Malloy's Ghost Quartet, Brittain Ashford, Hadestown (new musical), Phantom of the Opera, Les Mis, Love Never Dies, Savage Garden, Evanessence, Daya, U2, Alicia Keyes, and even a little George Winston, Piano Guys, Halsey, Nightwish, Aerosmith and TSO. Diverse, huh?
18. I play 11 instruments, and my main instruments of study in university were piano, voice and minored in musical theater. The instruments I play pretty well are cello, violin, viola, acoustic guitar, bass, electric guitar, drums, amd marimba.
19. Count Basie was my first piano teacher. Our house in the Bahamas was next door to him, and that is where we had a home for part of the year. He taught me by ear after learning I had perfect pitch. which was kind of a unique thing...
20. My all time favorite designer was Coco Chanel because she was a strong women who stood up for her designs, her beliefs and did not let anyone stop her, but she always did so with class and beauty and elegance. I admire her greatly. She is a style icon.
